humpty... maa capmpaign....full deflated.... fans dissappointed.....more so because it was like a curse haunting us....in the form of goal keeping blunders.... hope they raise the game.....in the next match.....but England doesnt look like a semifinal side.....quarters at best.....even that looks a doubt now.... Germany...as i predicted....are the only one doing well.....all round performance.....and stage is set for them to launch an attempt for a final spot..... We are what we repeatedly do. My view - France vs uruguay - french players looked bored and they were too lazy on the field. Zidane leni lotu clear cut ga kottindhi naaku. uruguay no comments. - Argentina Vs Nigeria - had Uche(NGA) scored that goal argetininians would have been in deep trouble.. Messi didnt meet my expectations.. His possesion skills are amazing but he didnt finish atleast on 2 opurtunties. Argentina should have won this match 3-0. - Ghana vs Serbia - liked this match.. absolutely loved ghana's attacking football. They put Serbia under too much pressure. These guys are my favs right now. - UK vs US - No comments. I feel for UK goalie. - Ger vs Aus - Aus had clear cut chance in the first 5 mins.. they blew it.. inexperience anochu. I liked opening game between south africa..at least the last 30 mins...may be SA being hosts and under dogs for the game is making me biased My summary of teams that played over the weekend France - hopeless coaching...they have the players but nothing is clicking as a team and it will be a huge turnaround for them go beyond second stage Korea - did enough to show they are a class apart from Greece and other non top flight teams Argentina - lots of attacking options...Messi kept getting chances by the numbers...I think it will be a while before the flood gates open for him..but he will continue to rise Defensively, they have problems . I see some one pulling off a Micheal Owen moment in a crucial match Germany - "efficiency" cliche . Did what was needed. Controlled the game. Created chance after chance. USA - Did enough to hold England. Superb marking on Wayne Rooney after the gaffe that created space for Gerard. Got through coz of error from golaie, but did enough defesively to get a point England - selection issues, fitness issues, tactical issues. If Rooney is well marked, people like Heskey need to score. and what does he do? Shoots straight into the arms of Tim Howard from 15 meters. Good for then SVN won, they need to win next 2 and top the group | ||
