Tommorow katthi matches.... Nigeria vs Argentina...messi in action....maradona had tough time with african nations in past...they used to mark him pretty bad physically....today he was pleading for fair play....messi is a very tiny guy...he used to suffer from deficiency of growth harmone...tommorow going to be interesting as maradona is going to go for 3 attackers...4-3-3..this format gave unbelievable success to messi in european championships.... and then our own lovable losers england facing USA...usa had a decent run in 2002...and in 2006 they almost knocked the winners italy out of the tournament...rooney had a severe warning from the referee in the last warm up game england had b4 the cup....another offence might see him out...hope he retains sense n suppressed that tough guy attitude n focus on game... | ||

couldnt watch france game due to travel....but happy to find out its an uninspiring goal less draw.... france needs serious retrospection as they couldn't take advantage of a handicapped uruguay team with 10 players....but both in 1998 n 2006 they started the tournaments in not so spectacular fashion.... african countries dont know how to celebrate such big events...they still dont know how to relax n enjoy games....most of the tickts are sold to locals as there was severe back lashing on fifa that preference is being given to foreigners for tckts....hopefully the crowd gets into it as the cup advances...... | ||
