that is the one knock on soda's game today. he has not delivered on break points. you just can't do that against nadal. but to be fair, even fed has been guilty of doing that against nadal on clay. in the 2007 fo final, fed converted 1 bp out of 17. yes! SEVENTEEN! that one time he converted the break, he won the set. lol! nadal is totallyyyy feeling it now! he could beat mr. bolt in a 20m spring right now on the parisian clay. time running out real fast for soda-boy. ms. namitha is warming up her vocal chords about now.... super start to the 2nd set. sodaboy is throwing everything he has got and nadal is fighting like a champion. mark woodforde is saying the conditions are getting heavy. if soderling doesn't panick, he can do some real damage. i hope soda could hear that! things are going to suit him better as it cools down in paris. he should get his teeth into this set, somehow. you gotta feel for soda though. there is just no way to keep these points shot with nadal. he his whacking the ball hardest anyone from this planet can, but nadal keeps getting to them like the champion he is and challenges soda to go for a winner one more time. a majority of the points, soda has hit like 3-4 hard-as-hell shots and still it is not enough! there can be no francesca schiavone in men's tour for sure. that sneaky kind of play will get you nowhere near the title in men's play. way toooooooooo much heat and power in the men's game! haha.... well said desparado  nadal played that set like a champion. he took whatever chances came his way and hung on to death to prevent soda boy from holding on to this. 2sets from a ridiculous 5th title at paris! what is tougher than winning against nadal on clay? ans:- winning against nadal on clay when you are 1 set to love down. v-man : winners tough against nadal, mostly on clay. hard court and grass, people will be able to hit through him, much easily. i think hardcourts and grass ayithe, fed and murray are almost as good as rafa when it comes to defense. that hold at 2-4 was absolutely critical for soda. he was 40-0 and played some absolutely f#$K-all tennnis to get it to deuce. another 2 breakpoints down the drain for soda boy. 5-3 nadal. rafa's defense slowly twisting the knots on soda like a boa-constrictor. a double fault and an unforced error to start serve. 0-30 rafa! nadal absolutely gift-wrapped the game for soda with that brain cramp he had. soda returned the favor at the worst point - a break point and lost that game nadal is turning it on.... super aggressive on the 1st two points on his serve. soda has started the match well. but the big challenge is to keep at that level to eke out 3 sets against the genius of nadal on clay. the top-spin is not as lethal, but the breeze means soderling's high ball toss might not make serving easy at all. break point soda- 2nd serve and soda makes a lovely return deep on nadal's forehand side and whacks a backhand long. he handled the breakpoint well, but he has to make this count. 2-2... good start, but the breeze has to die down quick, else soda will be struggling with his serve and those huge backswing ground strokes! 0-30 nadal! soda has gotta hold on here. honestly i dont know who to cheer.....Soder who slayed Fedex or Nadal unarguably the greatest clay court player ever After the uncerimonious exit of fedex i almost lost all the interest.....what a final this wud have been, if it were Rafa and FED....but as i'm typing i got this disconsolate feeling for rest of the unsung heroes more so for SOda in this case | ||

King of Clay Vs King Slayer..... if soda is on his game, this could be one helluva match. if he plays like he did against berdych in the semis, rafa will kick his @$$ all the way to london, with a stopover in stockholm! the weather gods have smiled on Soda and there was a downpour early in the day in Paris - this will take the sting out of rafa's top-spin. will soda take advantage of this or will rafa overcome the conditions like a true champ? we will know in a few hours here's to a good game from both these two warriors.Sterility is hereditary.
