Ap Sonia Gandhi wants Chandrababu Naidu to become the CM' Yes, you heard it right. It maybe the most outrageous thing. Why would the Congress' chief want Chandrababu Naidu to become the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh? According to the Congress sources, the UPA chairperson has discussed whether going to polls in Andhra Pradesh and letting Chandrababu Naidu become the CM would help the Congress party in the long run. Already the Rosaiah's government has earned a negative image and whoever becomes the CM in his place, whether Jagan, Marri Sashidar Reddy, Jana Reddy etc would not be able to salvage the lost popularity. In such case, the Congress is likely to fare badly in the 2014 MP elections in Andhra Pradesh. The party is likely to lose very badly and this in turn would scuttle the chances of Rahul Gandhi's PM chances. If the Congress calls for midterm polls and let Chandrababu become the CM, then by 2014 a lot of anti-incumbency is likely to work against him since he too would be beset by the same problems that Rosaiah is facing like bad financial condition in AP, Telangana agitation, rollback of the YSR's welfare schemes etc. So if CBN becomes the CM, then the party would fare a lot better in the 2014 elections in Andhra Pradesh. YS Jagan : I lost a 'Golden Chance' to split Congress party YS Jagan Mohan Reddy never seems to get over Chandrababu Naidu. For every occasion, he makes sure that he uses Chandrababu's (his father's friend in the beginning) atleast once, when he does not have anyone else to target. When Sonia Gandhi made sure that he was not made the CM of Andhra Pradesh, he blamed CBN for it, when some Telangana activists opposed him during the Khammam tour, he blamed CBN for it, when his channel was blamed for the attacks on the Reliance outlets, he blamed CBN and TV9. And today when he is in the midst of the controversy over his open 'snub' to the Congress High Command, he again used Chandrababu's name!! What has Chandrababu got to do with this controversy? Well when YS Jagan was asked by the media over reports that he would start a new party, he claimed that he had a 'golden' chance to split the party and become the CM just after his father died. " When I didn't try to split the party then, why would I split the party now when the sympathy wave die to my father's death had subsided?
