Even Rosaiah's die-hard critics are turning into admirers. The regional media which was too eager to write him off as a stop-gap CM and perhaps the worst ever the state had is now slowly coming to terms with the fact that the wily old leader has a few tricks left up his sleeve. The Telengana agitation is a distant memory. His government has survived the worst ever floods in the state and dealt with its consequences rather satisfactorily. The CMs last leg of the Praja Patham meeting was in Kurnool and was by all accounts a smashing success. Except for reduction of seats in IIIT almost all of Dr YSR's schemes have been continued and this has been done despite the abysmally low finances in the state's coffers. All the dire predictions not withstanding the CMO is confident that irrigation efforts envisaged under the Jalayagnam project will achieve completion. The CM has successfully managed to convince Delhi about the importance of granting national status to Polavaram. More importantly the opposition parties too have jumped onto the Polavaram bandwagon. Rosaiah's only spot of bother seems to be Y S Jagan's rising popularity, but knowing him the CM will not let that give him any sleepless nights.
