Humpty_dumpty:my PS3 slim fan makes one hell of a noise...any ideas?
Avunaa? My PS3 do makes the noise but when I play movie etc, I dont hear it.. Yes, I did put a small fan too as with any AVR, my onkyo generates good amount of heat.. PS3 users: Try installing YAMJ on the machine you have the movie library on and enzoyy the interface .. for more info, http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showthread.php?tid=35074 I havent tried this.. but this is worth trying for PS3.. if you are a .net/java developer, should be easy.. others koddigaa fight kottaali.. In this db, there's always someone watching you!! |

always go for smaller hard disk(120 is pref over 250 etc)...and less speed if possibul (5400rpm pref over 7200rpm). (u have choice if you are doing the upgrade/downgrade urself) నన్ను ఇన్వాల్వు చేయకండి సార్ |

Truelies:Does ps3 play divx/AVI files from USB or network?
Yes it does. Only files it cannot that I experienced is .mkv. Bluray playing vs other players: I dont have other bluray players. so cant comment. But I would imagine ps3 being no less to any other players as bluray format inventor is sony.. PS3 will stutter when playing hidef movies, when you stream the file [I havent tried copying onto HD of PS3] Especially, ff/rewind most of the times will not work. I had this trouble when playing 'Planet Earth' series. PS: When you copy a file onto PS3, make sure you dont delete the source file as you cannot copy any file from PS3. saw this on net ""The next PS3 firmware update (the one in march) will support PAL playback. That means current PS3 can play DVD-ROM that had been burned in PAL format instead of NTSC. Right now all the current PS3 released are NTSC and if you try to put in a PAL DVD disc (even if it is a movie disc you filmed and burned yourself to DVD-ROM), the PS3 will reject it. So the next version will allow you the ability to play PAL format DVDs. For protected DVD, however, it will still check for region. For those you burned yourself it should play." and ps3 media server is a free download |
