Well, a story has to begin somewhere. Some authors choose the birth of the protagonist while some choose a random incident in the protagonist's life. This story begins pretty much like all those stories you have read so far. The random incident in this case is a beautiful young lady seated under a mango tree sporting a serious expression. The cell phone rang. She took one disinterested look at the phone and another at the mangoes hanging off the branches of the tree. She apparently had no plans of answering the call when a stranger barged into the scene with a flower in his hand. "Mademoiselle Nitya. This is for you." He said kneeling in front of the girl. The girl stared at him expressionless. He stared at her completely charged up with a smile pasted all over his body. Quite a few moments had passed by when a dog, which had so far been a mute spectator of a love story in the making sans any trace of romance, suddenly decided that it needed to inject a catalyst into the situation - which otherwise would go on forever or until 2012 - when Mayan calendar would spell doom for the entire world. It barked and charged towards the knelt man. Now, when a man had already knelt before a woman with a rose in one hand stretched like the statue of Liberty, the last thing on his mind would be to handle a barking dog running furiously at him. In fact his poise was so unsuitable for an altercation with the four legged freak that his mind went blank momentarily unable to chalk out an efficient response to this unplanned development. By the time he recovered from the shock and decided to run, it was too late. The beast was all over him. The girl still had a disinterested look on her face. Her mobile kept on ringing. The man kept on fighting with the dog and the dog had a gall of time. Then at last, the girl picked up the phone and said, "Yes. He's here. My dog is playing with him. I accept his apology." The man's face lit up. "Jimmy, come back" she said. The dog jumped off the man's head and waggled its tail. The man stood up, dusted his Armani and smiled at the girl. "So you will never call Jimmy a dog again?" She asked with a smile on her face. The man furiously nodded his head. "Jimmy is a darling. Jimmy is a lovely person. Jimmy has a distinct personality. Jimmy has great teeth. Jimmy has sharp nails" "Enough" she almost shouted, "Let us go. It is getting late." Threegether, Jimmy, the girl and the boy walked into the sunset. The End.
