Director Deva Katta’s new film, Prasthanam, that released last weekend, has started off well and is getting critical acclaim from the Tollywood top directors. On Sunday, directors like Krishnavamsi, Krish (Gamyam), cinematographer Chota K Naidu and actors like Allari Naresh and Tanish saw the film specially and had praised the movie to the hilt. “In the recent times, this is the original and genuine film. I really liked the way Deva Katta narrated this complex story with such each,” Krishnavamsi said. Krish said the there is a line in Spartacus story that says that men destroy their own crop that they sow, Prasthanam seems to be based on that line. “Major of the highlights of the movie are its dialogues and the screenplay by the director. Also Sharwanand, Sandeep and Saikumar’s performances are too good,” he praised. Chota K Naidu, whose nephew Sandeep played second lead in the movie, said he was stunned by the performances by Sharwanand and Sandeep. “I felt wonderment for seeing such a good acting by these youngsters,” he added. Prasthanam trimmed On the other hand, buoyed by the response and taking criticism about length of the movie in their stride, the producer and director have agreed to trim the film.
