Swayamkrushi Brother: Generally you should do the following in order to get a sense of Salary-Bands and Salary-ranges for your Sr.Systems.Analyst post in xyz company.

Go to http://www.flcdatacenter.com/CaseH1B.aspx to see the h1b filed by that company in the current or previous year. Also see the PERM data if available there (generally designations / salary is mentioned in it )

Typical standards following corporate biggies follow the H1b Nomenclature very strictly . Check out the Sr.SYS Analysts salary figure on those FLC Data.

It will have a Prevailing wage ($65,000),City and also Range of Salary $72,000 - Max $90,000. what it means is that company gives that salary range for that Particular 'designated' position. Observe that it changes across cities too.

Just pulling out a excel sheet and analyse the few rows and you will get a fair idea. Trying to know the 'position title' itself will help you in estimating the salary in that company and companies try to keep you at the minimum. you can strech out a little bit upwards by negotiating as long as your within the BAND,HR will agree. If you shoot above the range then HR should consider you for a More Senior or Other Title for which they need approvals, blah blah and in this case, they will not-heed and turn down your offer.

EAD/GC holders may get different as paperwork is less, but overall h1/fulltime ki workout avuthundhi baaga.

I used sr.analyst title as a example and figures are imaginary.

Depeonds on the company. Typically, bonus varies based on your level/title. If bonus is completely discretionary (based on the performance of ur company/group and you) then may be they won't mention it.

how many years experience do you have? do you know how the bonus structure is in the new company? bonus yeppudu discretionary pool kada. so oka sari 15% istaru, next time 9% istaru. you can't always count on it.

Did you already tell them how much you want? If so, it's hard to go back on that number. If you didn't you can tell them 110k and tell them u r flexible. They may say ok or they may say 100.

nenu pani chese company lo ayithe.... there will be a pre set range for each position.. mamu ee madhya naa team lo idharini recruit chesamu compensation range set by the HR is 108 to 120 for those positions... surprisingly both the candidates who got selected quoted a range of 110 to 120 which is well in our range so no questions where asked and where given 110, HR's told them performance based incentive maa organisation lo chala baguntundhi kabati we count go beyound 110 ani cheparu... kani if they would have asked 115 as min adhe set ayi undedhi.... so baga R & D cheyandi about the organization before you ask for some thing
