There seems to be more than what meets the eye for the communal riots that hit the Old City of Hyderabad for the last two days. According to Nizamabad MP Madhu Yashki, the riots were engineered in a pre-planned manner by some forces who wanted to destabilise the Rosaiah government. âThese forces are not happy with the consolidation of Rosaiah government in the last six months. Hence, they wanted to create some trouble or the other,â he said, and demanded that a thorough probe should be ordered to unearth the conspiracy. Bharatiya Janata Party MLA G Kishan Reddy wondered why there were attacks on a section of people only in the Old City. The proposed visit of members of Justice B N Srikrishna Committee to study the Telangnaa demand in parts of northern Telangana region from March 31 is most likely to be postponed. Chief Minister K Rosaiah has indicated to the committee that it is not advisable to come to Hyderabad and tour the Telangana areas, in the wake of tense law and order situation following communal clashes in the old city of Hyderabad. He advised them to come to the city only after the restoration of normalcy. Committee member secretary V K Duggal said a decision would be taken after reviewing the situation on Monday.
