With chief minister K Rosaiah growing stronger and stronger with every passing day, the camp of Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is making every effort to get back his glory and emerge as a force to reckon with before somebody forgets him. The best way to grab the attention of the people is to keep the media in good humour. So, a lavish party was thrown for the media persons at Jaya Gardens at Somajiguda a couple of days ago on the eve of the second anniversary of Sakshi daily launch. Though it was essentially a Jagan’s party and that too, a Sakshi party, he ensured that it did not appear that way. The invitations were extended personally by Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s family friend and advisor K V P Ramachandra Rao on the pretext of felicitating newly-elected Press Academy chairman Tirumalagiri Surendra. But those went to the party realised that it was not KVP’s party, but a Jagan affair. The Jagan men took personal care of every journalist. Scotch Whisky flowed like water and the menu was outstanding. Several scribes drank and ate to their heart content; as if it was not sufficient, the Jagan men also arranged home delivery of food and Scotch parcels to several scribes, so that they can enjoy for a couple of days more. For those journalists who were not in a position to walk or drive after boozing heavily, the Jagan men arranged home dropping in the most luxurious air-conditioned cars. They all hailed Jagan and his hospitality. And guess who did not get the invite? You are right: Eenadu staff.
