The former MLAs of Telangana Rashtra Samithi, who quit their posts for the sake of Telangana, are now repenting for losing a golden chance to make a quick buck. Thanks to the Rajya Sabha elections scheduled to be held in June, the MLAs find it a right opportunity to make some big money. Their votes become crucial especially when there is no chance for them to contest. The TRS had 10 MLAs and each of them would have got at least Rs 1 crore â Rs 1.5 crore , if they get to vote for the fifth candidate in the Rajya Sabha elections. âAlready, we lost heavy money in the last elections. It would have been a good chance to make some quick money, had we continued as the MLAs,â a TRS leader said. On the other hand, the PRP MLAs are making merry. There are only 17 MLAs; and even two of them do not go with Chiranjeevi, the remaining 15 have already started bargaining for big money with the Congress leaders. On behalf of the Congress leadership, Panchayat Raj Minister Botsa Satyanarayana met Chiranjeevi and invited him and his MLAs for a dinner at his residence next week. While Chiranjeevi might seek the Congress help to get the fifth seat for his brother-in-law Allu Aravind, Botsa might offer bigger amount for each of them to vote for the Congress candidate.
