Aa problem ki just politicians okkare solve cheyyaleru annai .. People need to realize that abusing natural resources is a grave threat to humanity itself. We all need to change the way we live. If we as civilians, create more demand, as part of the same humanity and to make profits, some body will always be ready to supply. Okatenti, everything that happened in the last 150 years since industrial revolvution is a shame on humanity ! I agree that every drop "can" make a difference. And its my belief that we have crossed that stage now and it no more will serve the purpose. We are racing against time to save ourselves ! Imagine the holy Ganga drying up by 2035 or by liberal estimates 2050. It could likely be in our life time itself. What happens to the almost 40 crore people who live on Ganga??? Not just Ganga, if Ganga dries up, more or less Sindhu will be dry and so will be Brahmaputra. These three rivers collectively are helping some 100 crore people to live today. Its hard to imagine what is the extent of calamity we are egging on !
Yes, China is relatively safe antunnaru, but when the ecology degrades/changes so much, no body is practically safe. It will then be a question of existence and just imagine how it will be! Kamal, in future wars will be over water ani antaru. I won't be surprised. India is going to have a major problem b'coz most of our rivers in North originate in Himalayas and they are drying up. China has a strategic advantage over us in the karakoram. Few years ago they released waters from some dam with little notice. Lots and lots of red flags for India. Every single drop we can save makes a difference. Besides, just b'coz we don't have water ration, why should we waste it? less time in the shower, less watering of the lawns, less frequent washing of the car - every bit helps. The beautiful Ganga, Yamuna, Godavari, Krishna what not, every river is left polluted and now after the global warming threat, even parched ! Simply saving a mug of water while shaving or in the shower will the serve the purpose is a question everyone has to answer?
