It is great to have the PMP credential, i know that I can put myself into contention for many jobs with that certification. If i had my own company, if the manager doesnt come through referal process, i prefer that he or she has the PMP certification. | ||

You have to earn 60 Professional development units (PDUs) for every renewal cycle(3 years). There are various ways to earn this - and you can look them up in pmi.org. It does not take a huge effort - I prepared for about 2 months while working 60 hour weeks and that was enough.Just renewed it for the 3rd time. It gives your resume an edge in getting the call for the interview...
