Who is ruling? Governor or Rosaiah? It is now more or less evident that Governor ESL Narasimhan is not going to be a rubber stamp governor confined to the cozy bedrooms of Raj Bhavan. Instead, he is indirectly holding the forte in the Andhra Pradesh administration. It was proved once again on Wednesday, when he called editors of all the dailies and weeklies to Raj Bhavan to discuss the issues concerning the state, including the ongoing Telangana agitation, law and order situation and administration in the state and seek their suggestions for the better governance of the state. In the past, too, Narasimhan held meetings with chief secretary S V Prasad, DGP Girish Kumar and other officials to discuss the administrative matters. Even now, he is regularly obtaining feedback from the officials. This makes one wonder what the Governor is up to. Is he trying to take control of the administration or the high command has lost faith on Rosaiah. Though everything appears normal, there are indications of a President Rule at any time, sources said. |
