It's been 10 years since I saw that movie. This movie surprisingly won Oscars at that time. This movie may not appeal to foreigners unless one knows Americans, their culture and their sensibilities. to me it defines the character of Ricky(peru correct oo kaadho gurthu raledhu), he is capable of seeing through obvious beauty and is some who is capable to identify the subtle and simplicity in things, he finds beauty in smaller things or things that do not have much value in others views, like the girl next door jane. idle, that plastic bag blowing in the wind represents life. Ricky sees things beauty in everyday life, the smallest things in life. Ever seen a bag flying around? It's mesmerizing somehow. Yeah, at the end of the day it's just a bag floating around and it's just trash, but you can't stop looking at it. idly....sakshi editor pridarshini kurrod theesey cinemalu sooskoka neek sam mendes cinemalu kavala??? malli kindal kooda setthannava??? american beauty is about a dys fuctional sub urban family structure...general ga dys functional family antey edho ghetto or trailer tradh kurrollani sooistharu...but american beauty along with very few other movies focuses on the sub urban families... it also deals with the mid life crisis of the spacey kurrod how the passion in marriage loses when couples start running towards other things... it also deals with the insecurities of a teenager as shown through thee daughter character of spacey... and it also portrays the innocence of the teennagers through the mira sorvino character n also touches the subject of gay n etc etc etc ...everything with a touch of humor so that audience can sit through such a dark concept n yet not get bored or depressed... it has one of the best cinematography n the dream sequences are one of the best.... the movies story is also very appealing...dats how most of screwed up people live in USA....and dats wat he has shown.... I have decided after watching this movie in 2001 that when i becomes as old as kevin in this movie iam going to hit on the classmates of my kids...hahahah | ||
