surprisingly, this movie had a good number of repeat audiences....half of my frenz around chicago had watched the premiere on thursday..yet they came to the late night show with us on friday.. there were HUGE lines for this movie..our show supposed to start at 10.30 got moved to 12.....i've never seen such a rush for a telugu movie.. | ||

second half is very slow (like all sekhar's movies). when u want to make a political movie, do so. dont try to infuse love angle when it is for sure going to dilute ur movie. even that love story is not properly etched.
yes suman's role got trimmed miserably...as per the original script, he is first seen addressing a press conference. he wants to turn into a new leaf (and forget his corrupt past) when he falls prey to bomb attack...infact when i heard this storyline from someone from shekar's close quarters, i thought he was making a story on Jagan... | ||

Mega bedar, adenti ala antaavu? Love story/romance/songs Godavari and HD lo kooda unnaayi kada. SK ki basic story telling talent ledu, nerchokovali anna uddesam kooda lenattu undi. He can handle a couple of a scenes well, Godavari lo ayithe characterization neat ga handle chesaadu, but he can't make a movie. First cinema teeyadam ela nerchukunte better. Adi telikunda bits bits gaa teesukuntey, cinemalu maanesi documentaries or short films teesukovadam better. SK should venture into short films, rather than attempting to make half-baked feature length films. Guttonkay: Falling in love is like smoking or drinking. You can't stop doing it. | ||

when i was watching those junk romantic scenes with the heroine..i couldnt help but feel enraged that a great film like this was being wasted......though the film picked up towards the end, i was left with a feeling of "if only...." my fav moments in the movie: 1) lead to ma telugu thalliki song and the song's picturization 2) sreelu pongina song situation and picturization 3) rana's oaths 4) gollapudi maruthi rao's scene 5) confrontations betn subba raju and rana | ||

Leader - A cool concept....lot of intriguing dialogs and inspiring scenes..great performances by all the actors..esp rana was a delight to watch as Leader..yet a mediocre film.. Sekhar Kammula's movies always have some boring moments.....this movie is not just an exception..this movie does have the most boring moments in all of his movies..u cannot wait for a few scenes to end....may be coz the original plot is so intriguing, all the scenes with the 2nd heroine come to u like a rude shock.... there are a lot of scenes that got trimmed towards the end..if only, the 2nd heroines character is chopped COMPLETELY..if only we got to watch all the lead scenes towards ma telugu thalliki song..this movie would have been breathtaking.. IMO the film as it stands now is just okay....u can wait for a dvd.. |
