those were the best scenes of the movie imo ... i had no prob with the length of the movie either ... never once felt some sequence was long and boring ... each scene made me anticipate n wait for the nxt one. I have comfort in believing everythin was staged to cure DiCaprio ... and the docs did succeed in doing tht  . Things that made me slip into this comfort zone - Kingsley knowing DiCaprio's history (in-take form n kids pics) ... withdrawal syptoms of DiCaprio from the sedatives ... Rachael being his daughter and not the lady in the cave or the fake patient ... Chuck being the shrink ... and DiCaprio's 'remembrance' of his past. All the above can be an illusion and an effort to thwart DiCaprio ... we wud never know. Thinkin whether there were actually experiments being conducted on patients' brains in the lighthouse and Kingsley n co spun a web of defense against DiCaprio's mission to blow the lid throws me into a state of confusion. We cannot rule that out ... we cannot rule out that the entire Shutter Island was a dream of DiCaprio either and the island din't actually exist. There is no perfect interpretation of this movie ... all the more awesome. Great movie experience. | ||

SPOLIER ALERTS for shutter island: dont read if u r yet to watch; movie lo 1st nunchi ichina clues emem kanipettaru meeru.. - when his partner offers cigs he says he left his cigars somewhere n behaves differently..thts a clue - after they board the island..andaru guns pattukuni nunchuntaru evado criminal ni escort chestunatu....again dis is a clue..but i didnt observerd or remmebered this..imbd lo chadivithe gurtukochindi - island gates loki enter ayinapudu his partner cant take the gun and he removes the whole holster..which shows he is new n dont know how to use a gun.. 1st 5-10 mins lone major clues ichadu...i observed 1st n 3rd clue right away...but didnt expected the climax later in the movie as the film wanders into diff topics | ||

Mama.. that episode actually was fantastic.. Leo vaadu itlaa avvaneeki one of the reasons this nazi episode anipichhindi.. the way he didnt let die that nazi officer coz he wanted to see the suffering and killing of nazi soldiers by him opening the fire first made him think he was the murderer... aa guilt conscious anedi ventaaduthaa untadi eenni.. tht was real i think...they shld have cut those nazi sequences just to save the length of the movie...mv is too long for me...they shld have added tht in dvd extras...photography in the nazi episode is breathtaking but i think it didntt help the flow of the movie and made the move lengthy | ||

Right on bro.. Even I thought he was faking but wasnt confident enough. And also, I thought he was war veteran and the whole nazi episode was not one of his hallucinations. What you think? Limited release movie ki famils ne egesukoni ettaa attukellaa? and that too jeff bridges ani telshi? Kalaa posana unte ekkuddi isuvanti movies.. That lady in the cave ..is it hallucination ? dream ? real ?...as per movie its his dream or whatever...but it happened exactly in the climax like what she said.. i would like to believe dicap is normal and they drugged him and planted dreams or whatever  ..again its open to interpretations | ||

 3 pamilies ni tiskuni ella..andaru kummaaru movie ayyaka..even i dint like the movie.....had no direction where it was heading anpichindi..totally depended on jeff bridges.. my movies: Leader - 3/5 K-PAX - 3.5/5 ....GREAT performance by kevin spacey..the open ended climax was a bit of a let down..for ppl who like straight films.. Mulholland Drive - 3/5...was v v v gripping for the first 75 mins..lost track after that..got too confusing..... 48 hours - 3/5.....was good for the first hour..got redundant thereafter.. | ||

Though Cape Fear was a remake, Scorsese showed tht he had it in him to make a thriller ... but Shutter Island just propelled him to the pinnacle of the thriller genre imo. I read tons of reviews b4 seeing this film ... many reviewers trashed it saying that he shudn't have entered this genre ... may be most of them were suffering from The Departed hangover. I loved this movie and for the next few days all I could do is think about it. It shook me. The best part was when DiCaprio was faking his relapse at the end - just to end the hell he was going through. The Nazi camp flashback ... the lighthouse suspence ... the hallucinations ... were mind blowing scenes ... this side of Scorsese was a pleasant surprise ... genius at work. The whole gloomy and spooky setting of the island was awesome ... it just makes u pay attention to the movie ... the plot is gripping to say the least. | ||

Crazy Heart: Baagundi. Not for regular movie watchers. Jeff Bridges ['The Dude' of Big Lebowski] is good. Subtitles unte inkaa baagundedi. Akkadakkada ardham kaaledu with that south accent. Old Dogs: Walt Disney ani thelshi soosinanduku nannu nen seppetti kottukovaal. Thu deenemma..  Shutter Island: Good one. Leonardo gaadi acting oka range lo unde. To me, I was like hypnotized. I felt like throwing up when he was and I felt the migraines in my head. First one hour was terriffic acting and screenplay/photography/background score. During the first ten mins of the movie, I was thinking why leonardo is looking like patient.. Got the answer in nest hour. Scorcese ki thrillers talent undi ani telvadi.
