Moved on jan 1 2009 from KS to OH. OH became my primary tax home. Family continued to stay in KS until FEB 09 until i settle out first here take home etc. Company deducted the regular OH state, city as well as my KS state tax. Now, My question is I relocated full in feb 09 and I am eligible for relocate deductions. what about the expenses i incurred at OH like daily hotel food, extended hotel stay (for 1 month) , GAS ,misckenlious expenses. I paid the rents, etc of jan&feb in KS for family stay, while myself physically here in the OH my primary tax home state. Every weekend I flyed from OH-KS-OH up&down for 4 weeks. IRS says that : If the JOB duration is a longer (usually 1 or more) we CANT deduct expenses in the primary tax area. Please cheppandi, OH lo expenses or KS lo expenses edhi claim cheyochu. edhi cheyyakoodada. OH aithe, 1 month hotel, local airport travel, local cabs etc bagane unnai. KS aithe : 2 months rent and other misclenious etc atla unnai. Understanding: company did not paid anything. annitki bills credit cards billing lo unnai. |
