In india number of trained doctors with medical degrees is minuscle compared to the population......In the last decade medical expenses skyrocketed with the growth of new economy that has grown with outsourcing as backbone where as the salries and income in the old economy hasn't changed much...since trained doctors mostly comprising of educated elites has to be on par with new economy their income and other medical related professions and expenses are on par with new economy.......so a huge portion of our population that depend on old economy is not able to meet medical expenses even for normal medical conditions ...public health system is in shambles and the incidence of malaria, dengue, vira fevers, chikun gunya, swine flu and other not so common diseases a decade back are at epidemic level in cities.....yesteraday in vja two children from the same family died of dengue and the family all of a sudden became childless In future helath care situation will worsen if alternative and cheap medicine to allopathy is not encouraged because it's impossible to have trained MBBS doctors in every nook and corner of india and even they are available large population cannot afford them |
