The Crazies - the movie is crazy, script wasnt executed well, and lot of looses ends. Cloverfield - I liked the movie, the director succeeded in keeping the tempo all the way through the end, but there were a some cliches without which the movie could have been better. The Storm Warriors II - I watched the first part while back. I liked the first part, and came to know that it is part of comic series. The movie was bad in terms of content and characterization. the saving grace for the movie is graphics and visual effects. The CGI/Graphics part of the movie is amazing, i dare say its better than 300 in some scenes. I watched the movie with subtitles, and i hope were much better in Chinese. Movie has no content, but if you enjoy visual effects and graphics, you might be surprised with this movie, some scenes were just too good. UnThinkable - ok for a one time watch. villain - Mani made a big mistake by alluding the story to ramayanam. May be my expectations were very low, but I kind of felt that this movie is better than many of mani's movies. and surprisingly i liked ash's acting for the first time...vikram did outstanding job...but the script was horrendous...photography was simply superb...hero's and karthik's characterizations were pretty awful...music was awful...editing was awful...Now I know why amitab commented on editing...there was a scene on the cliff where ash asks vikram whereabouts of her husband...her blouse almost came off completely and in the next scene she covered herself completely...thats a glaring negligence... sherlock homes - below average http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4Weah5XlW8 | ||

I never liked geetanjali or gharshana...became a fan of mani from alaipayuthey...then watched dalapathi n dil se again....the only problem with with raavan is forcing the a couple of characters from mythology just for the sake of it anukuntunna....

what the hell was the point of the Vikram practicing sword fight or was that some other weapon? The movie was all about several well shot images than a full on movie. Are we really expected to believe that Vikram crawls that sheer cliff on the mountain right next to the waterfall everytime he wants to get his cave? hero kallu cheemal size vunnayi. hero forehead lo okka kadalika ledu through out the movie. I thought otherwise he was looking okay I thought. His movements were very stiff though. May be he will get better over time. Director smile ani ariste he will smile, but no other part of his face shows any movement. That was plain weird. sports based movies weekend  Invictus - 3.75/5 The rugby backdrop is really a backdrop if you can feel how much importance Eastwood thatha has given to the actual characters. Set in times of uncertainty, the movie is very successful in depicting the thoughts, ideas , doubts of the people of SA. Freeman , Damon are superb. has some good lines. The Damned United - 4/5 A kind of fictional account on the life of English football manager, Brian Clough - who is considered to be the greatest manager who has not managed English football team. Success, betrayal, ambition, over ambition, jealousy, betrayal are the movie themes. Martin Sheen is outstanding in his portrayal of real world characters be it Tony Blair, Frost or this one. Must watch for soccer and sports fans. | ||

Banam - ok movie. Heroine looked awful. Hero looked decent. I don't know if his acting skills are nil or his acting was subtle and confident. I will have to watch one more time to say for sure. Felt more like nil to me. His forehead didn't move most of the time. Full on botoxed type la. I liked that the in one of the fight scenes they chose to show the start of the altercation, and then a train comes, by the time train is gone fight is over and all the goons are flat on the ground. I appreciate the way director spared us all the gore, which there is quite bit of. Villain - Raavan lekunte telugu version teesukunna. I am in no way ready to talk about this movie. Pure torture. May be hindi version would've been better viewing. I have no idea who did dubbing for Aish. •••••• voice. Didn't suit one bit. Suhasini's dialogues are atrocious. Maniratnam's treatment of those dialogues is even worse. There is no such thing as subtle in the movie - not Prabhu, not Karthik, not prithviraj, not the hero. sheesh.
