I think I have seen this before but will check it out again...when I find time  Regional influences on cinema came in phases... There was a time when Bengalis ruled the Hindi film industry which is why I believe we saw so many literature classics from Bengal immortalised thru cinema...Calcutta was not called the culture capital of India of that time without reason SS Vasan's Chandralekha brought wider audience for Southern film makers aa chal ke tujhe main leke chalu ik aise gagan ke tale jahan gam bhi na ho, aansoo bhi na ho,bas pyaar hi pyaar pale | ||
