Jaaga bokka ani anukoka pothe lets have some fun on Tuesday

Hot and Spice of the Week: Chiruâs flop show

It was Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi who hit the headlines most of the time last week, of course, for wrong reasons.
The PRP president, who kicked off his Praja Chaitanya Yatra (peopleâs awareness tour) from Guntur district last week on a wrong note with suffering injuries on his face due to throwing of a flagstick by his fan at Macherla, continued to make goof-ups one after the other. His unprovoked attack, though indirectly, on Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, saying that the latter had amassed wealth through ill-gotten means and was mobilizing hired crowds; and his unsolicited support to the Rosaiah government in the event of a crisis led to strong reactions from the Jagan camp and also political analysts across the state. Interestingly, Chief Minister K Rosaiah, too, welcomed Chiranjeeviâs statement extending support to the government, though he said he did not forsee any crisis in the government in the immediate future.
The very next day, Chiranjeevi committed yet another blunder. Instead of sticking to his attack on Jagan and his statement on support to the Rosaiah government, the PRP president backtracked and said he did not make any personal comments against Jagan nor had he extended any voluntary support to the Rosaiah government. On the other hand, his party leaders like Kotagiri Vidyadhara Rao and C Ramachandraiah went on attacking Jagan. And by the end of the week, Chiranjeevi, too, started making indirect comments against Jagan.
The PRP presidentâs fluctuating statements evoked sharp and stinging response from the Jagan camp. Jagaâs loyalist Ambati Rambabu described Chiranjeevi as a vegetable vendor, while his arch rivals in the film industry Jeevitha and Rajasekhar launched a tirade on him for making comments against Jagan. They accused him of selling blood donated by millions of fans to make money and also making crores of rupees by selling party tickets to candidates in the last elections. They alleged that Chiranjeevi was dreaming to become the chief minister by coming into the Congress party and replacing Jagan. As the week came to a close, the Jeevitha-Rajasekhar couple came up with evidences to prove the irregularities in the Chiranjeeviâs blood bank.
For the Jagan camp, too, the week continued to be tumultuous. The anti-Jagan camp continued its sustained campaign against him by raking up a land deal struck by the previous Y S Rajasekhara Reddy government with Emaar Properties, a Dubai-based company in Hyderabad. This camp, led by Rayalseema leaders D L Ravindra Reddy and J C Diwakar Reddy produced evidences exposing the murky deal, which is believed to have caused Rs 2,500 crore loss to the state exchequer. The expose was obviously targeted not only at YSR but also Jaganâs staunch loyalist and campaign manager Ambati Rambabu who was the chairman of AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC), when the alleged scandal took place. Rambabu also reacted strongly wondering why these had woken up only after YSRâs death. âIt is nothing but character assassination of a great leader. We welcome the CBI probe into the deal,â Rambabu said.
The week also saw Congress president Sonia Gandhi returning from the US tour and focusing on the chaotic political situation in the state, in the wake of Jaganâs Odarpu Yatra. She reportedly conveyed to the party leaders, though there is no official confirmation, that they should not take part in Jaganâs tours anymore. On the other hand, Jagan loyalists led by minister for mines and geology Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, asserted that the tour in Prakasam would be on and most of the MLAs would take part in the tour.
Another interesting development in the state political scenario is the criminal cases filed by the Saifabad police on the directions of the Nampally court against 16 Seemandhra ministers, led by Endowments Minister Gade Venkat Reddy, who had allegedly commented that those seeking bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh were traitors. The minister tried to exonerate himself saying he had not made any such comment in the report submitted to the Srikrishna Committee. A major national event that went unnoticed mostly by the people of the state last week was the conclusion of the four-day extended central committee meeting of the CPI (M). Its national secretary Prakash Karat threw a challenge to the UPA government to acknowledge the brazen âallianceâ between Trinamool Congress and the Maoists in West Bengal. But the media has not given the meeting any major coverage

Chiranjeevi Is Disturbed And Depressed

Megastar Chiranjeevi who was living like a king when in the film industry is currently walking on a road of thorns. Apparently, sources close to him reveal that this man who was once the emperor of Tollywood is currently very depressed and disturbed.

The reason for that are the recent happenings. While on one end his political career is not going the way as expected, the regular attacks from the film couple Jeevitha - Rajasekhar has become another pain. On the other hand, his âSamaikyandhraâ stand has rubbed the wrong side of the T-seekers.

With criticism that he is not a capable leader or strategist and controversies surrounding his brother in law Allu Aravind and his ticket selling during elections, the âAndarivaduâ has become âOntarivaduâ and sources reveal that this is one of the toughest times which he is unable to come to terms with. Hope all gets well for you Chiruâ¦

No Enthusiasm In PRP, Admits Chiru

Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi has once again proved that he is a flop politician. Rather than infusing confidence and self-respect among the party cadres, Chiranjeevi speaks in a demoralizing tone.
On the Independece day, too, the PRP president failed to inspire the cadres. Instead, he admitted that there is no enthusiasm among the party cadres and that there is a sort of dullness in the party. He also admitted that there was a big gap between him and his party cadres that would have to be bridged.
âHowever, there is no need to worry. Let us take up the peopleâs issue more vigorously and get closer to them. The future will be ours,â he said.
The PRP president has not explained how he would strengthen the party cadres. There is still no organizational structure for the party at any level. The so-called state committee is in complete disarray. And with party president himself making irresponsible statements, the lower-rung leaders are speaking in different tones on various issues.
So, where is the enthusiasm in the cadres?

Latest blockbuster: 'Andaroo Dongale'

It has been a high drama in Andhra Pradesh politics for the last few months, with the political parties slinging mud on one another; and leaders within the same party attacking one another. And as the Congress high command appeared probing into the financial dealings of Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, the allegations of corruption have started surfacing one after the other.
The latest scandal involving AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) and Emaar Properties was aimed at targeting the Jagan camp, particularly his father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and his close aide Ambati Rambabu. However, the scandal exposed everybody: the Congress leaders, the TDP leaders, the TRS leaders and even the PRP leaders.
Everybody seemed to have their own share in the booty, as was exposed by Eenadu daily on Saturday. The scamsters have sealed the mouths of everybody by offering plots at cheaper rates; so that the issue does not surface at all. The IAS officers who had played instrumental role in formalizing the scandal, had not only got the monetary benefit, but also got the roads and buildings named after them.
And what about Chief Minister K Rosaiah and his ministerial colleagues? They were definitely in the know of things and they cannot absolve themselves, because they were part of the cabinet sub-committee which had approved the Emaar-MGF deal. So, everybody is a culprit in the multi-crore scandal. Why should we blame only YSR?
Who has hired Jeevitha and Rajasekhar?

Tollywood couple Jeevitha and Rajasekharâs outburst against Chiranjeevi blood bank and expose of its commercial operations has evoked expected reactions from Praja Rajyam Party leader and producer Allu Aravind.
After hoisting the national flag upside down at the blood bank, Aravind retorted strongly at the allegations of Rajasekhar and Jeevitha. âIt is very clear that they were hired by some vested interests to tarnish the image of Chiranjeevi and his social service activities. They have taken money from these leaders to make wild allegations against the blood bank,â he alleged.
However, Aravind did not disclose who these vested interests were. His argument is that Jeevitha and Rajasekhar had no position or post in the Congress party and they had never taken any active interest in the party affairs. When Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was alive, Jeevitha tried for the post of Mahila Congress chief, but she did not get the same. They remain subdued after YSRâs death. So, definitely there must be some encouragement from some forces in the Congress to them for making wild allegations against Chiranjeevi, at a time when he extended support to the Rosaiah government. Isnât the answer obvious?

Vijayamma Has A Ghost Writer For Her Book?

The report that Y S Vijayalakshmi, widow of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, is writing a book on her husband with some sensational revelations, has raised a lot of curiosity among the people all over the state.
The book is in the final stages of completion and is going to be released on September 2, coinciding with the first death anniversary of YSR. However, there is a serious doubt among the people, particularly media persons, as to whether Vijayalakshmi would be able to write the book at all. According to the available information, she is not well-educated, though not illiterate and does not have the capabilities to write even a letter properly, leave alone the book, that too, with such sensational stuff.
Grapevine has it that the book is not being written by Vijayalakshmi herself, but she has a ghost writer to do it on her behalf. And the writer is none other than suspended Pradesh Congress Committee president Ambati Rambabu, who has a lot of flair and authority over language to write the book. And nobody knows better about the in-and-out of YSR family than Rambabu, who is now a close confidant of Jaganmohan Reddy. So, Rambabu definitely knows what is going to be explosive in the book!
