I think one of the bigger problems for the U.S. cities will be the fact that their electricity lines are above the ground whereas in Germany almost all of them are underground except for a few in countryside regions, a technique which is much more expensive....but in the long run maybe the cheaper version after all. As far as I know Germany's electric power stations and waterworks are also NOT connected to the internet. Let's say the internet would blow up due to solar storm activity and you can't open or shut down your powergrids because you depend on the internet to do so...than you are really •••••• up. | ||
