Directors and casting agents these days are logging in to websites and social networking websites to find their heroines. Says actor Vishal, âIâm active on social networking sites. One day, I got a friend request from a girl and when I saw her profile picture, I thought she would be perfect for the role of the third heroine in TVP. We used our contacts and later identified the girl as Sarah, a former Miss India. Interestingly, the girl who had sent me the request had used a fake picture for her profile, which ultimately led us to our heroine,â he says. Director Vijay also had an interesting experience while âhuntingâ for a girl to play the lead in his Madrassapattinam. âAfter writing the script for the movie, I was sure I wanted a British girl to play the lead. While browsing the Internet, I saw Amy Jacksonâs picture but I didnât have a clue about her. Then, we went to England to audition about 180 people. Interestingly, Amy had sent her pictures as well but I couldnât recognise her in that picture. Meanwhile, I asked my agent there to hunt for Amy. Over 26 per cent Chinese men face the problem of erectile dysfunction, a study has said. Researchers with the Chinese Medical Association say among men over 40, at least 40 per cent experience male impotence, a sexual dysfunction characterised by the inability to develop or maintain an erection of the penis, the China Daily reported Monday. About 83 per cent of the sufferers in China "never sought medical treatment for the disease", said Wang Xiaofeng, director of the urology surgery department with Peking University People's Hospital. Wang said poor public awareness and the underlying social stigma related to the disease are mainly to be blamed. He made the remarks while making a report during the Fifth China Andrology Forum in Beijing over the weekend. The released figures are based on surveys on erectile dysfunction carried out in 11 cities. Men who reported being sometimes able or never able to get and keep an erection in the past three months were defined as suffering erectile dysfunction, Wang said. For the majority of sufferers the cause was psychological, only 7.2 per cent was caused by physical conditions. Some 30 per cent suffered from both mental and physical causes, he said. The research showed that lifestyle changes like more exercises and measures to prevent cardiovascular disease and diabetes, would help prevent erectile function. In a 2009 survey on people's sex life satisfaction, China ranked 11th among 13 Asian countries.
