I think there are several approaches to dealing with problems in INdia. pedda problems, chinna problems. All of them affect people. If this RTI thing is helping with small problems then it's great. maa aapice la iddaru ammalakkalu fighting chesukuntunnaru. can't focus, but I think this RTI thing is a good thing kamalam bro. | ||

An interesting account on how RTI can be used to solve local problems. So far, if there is problem (bad roads, water etc.) in India, a complaint is lodged, and people are almost sure that no action will be taken on it. Gradually we get used to living with the problem, or finding an alternative. A team is working to change this. Their approach is to lodge a complaint on some problem, and then use RTI to find out what is being done on the complaint. Doing this forces accountability on the official.
