Elca, seriously do you think AB is that good actor to pass? I agree Mani did films with unknowns and pulled huge success but thats majorly in tamil and telugu and FYI.. in hindi he never did a film with unknown (i'd give RGV credit here for making Satya with JD).. Mani direct hindi films lo he casted SRK and bachans(aishwary and small b)..Bombay asfaik is dubbed into hindi..not a direct film and sakhi in hindi was directed by some other guy.. the point is not whether Mani depnds on star cast for his movies..Mani has become commercial and he casts bachans to get more bang for his buck.. | ||

Boss...srk gadu dil se tharwatha mani ki whenever he wanted he will work with him annadu...not once he repeated srk after dil se...every movie that mani n small b made small b was apt in that role...i cannot see anyone performing raavan other than small b....if at all he wants business there are stars who command more than small b that r dying to work with mani....he castes the actors based on the characters...not by stardom....he made movies with madhavan n dat guy from roja who r unknown to masses n still pulled of blockbusters... | ||

Mav movie is good if u really get into it...except very very few scenes here n there evey scene is crafted with so much care if u observe carefully.... u will really appreciate mani....aish acted very good..abhi was super..vikrams voice was a let down but he was decent..n supporting caste was awesome...watch it on big screen if u get a chance.... | ||

Ramayana , cultural and ethical frame work of vedic Indian tradition ,is more than an epic which brings social discipline through a story from childhood. I don't understand what Mani really wants to present except mist and cinematography movie is crap. He could have shown Aiswarya as an engaged women not a married one. In what can be seen as a sharp reaction to the remarks made by Amitabh Bachchan on âRaavanâ, director of the film Mani Ratnam has said he is not making movies to get marks from Amitabh. âThat is his opinion. I am not bothered about it. And I am not here in the industry to get marks from Amitabh Bachchan. We have made a film after two years of hard work. Anyone can comment on it,â the ace filmmaker told a Tamil weekly. Writing on his blog recently, the Big B expressed unhappiness over the filmâs editing, which, according to him, ruined Abhishekâs performance. âIt's sad, in the edit you only see the after-effect of that thinking process, hence inconsistent. In the edit, all the visual heads got cut and you see a confused Beera expression and wonder why?â Amitabh wrote. âLot of merited film edited out, causing inconsistent performance and narrative. Abhishek's erratic behaviour was due to symbolic 10 heads visually appearing and each giving him different attitudes to adopt for a situation, he would then finally shake them off and decide,â he said. |
