There is not much assembly. You just replace your head rests and plug it into power source. But ipod interface you need to do the installation. In my case i did it myself or you can get it done at any car audio store for around $100 | ||

Call them and they will give you good deal around $1500 head rests with monitors and you can watch either one or 2 movies and install ipod interface and connect the sound through it so that you can hear from your car speakers or people watching movie can hear the sound from wireless head phone thus not disturbing the driver | ||

For 200 you can get ipod interface itself so that you can stash away your ipod in your dash or trunk and control ipod through your stereo controls and need not worry about the charging and remove it once in a while to update your play lists. | ||

Dosakay, Rasp ..I have a Acura MDX 2008 which has Aux input and i dont like it as I cannot control the ipod through the my audio buttons on the steering wheel and ipod will not get charged. I had to use ipod car charge separately. I recently installed ipod car interface and that interface enabled control of ipod through my car audio player and controls on steering which I like. http://www.amazon.com/USA-Spec-PA15-HON2-Honda-iPod-Interfac e/dp/B001JT5G4G So bottom line is all the FM transmitters are POS so if you are interested in the ipod go for a ipod interface. I am sure there is one for Lexus 350. Just Google it. Coming to DVD, I did not buy OEM DVD for acura as it was too uncomfortable to raise your head that high to watch it as it is attached to the roof. So I bought aftermarket dual screen DVD player which comes attached to the head rests from these people. http://www.invisionindustries.com/ When you order them, they come with the DVD screens embedded into the head rests. So you just remove your original head rests and replace with them and plug into electrical source. By doing this you need not cut your original headrests. Invision matches your head rest with make and model of your car with the color. | ||
