Some people are suggesting Testing and some are saying to go for Oracle, .NET , etc., training. Full confusion.

.NET is still ok, but again its a programming language, so it will help u in a long run understanding other programming languages...Testing is gone long back...now everything is moving towards CI/CD..so no more manual testing.....testing lo kooda code raayali, almost like a development activity and u need coding skills...

Oracle side kooda kind of saturated aipoyindhi, Oracle is good to learn basics of database/SQL...but to survive, just Oracle is not enough...

Programming side is good and evergreen - initially it will be painful and tough to get on, but once u understand the basics you will have a long career, Python is an easier language to learn and its being used in many fields now (Data Science, Web App development etc etc)

Echoing Phoenix

If current salary decent = do not change.
If u want to change:
AVIOD .NET/JAVA/FULL STACK DEVELOPMENT.
Try functional modules or administrator roles.
SAP functional/sales force admin etc.

I am a Mechanical Engineer passed out in 2007. I am into R&D from past 7 yrs in Pune.

Now I am planning to shift into IT field in Hyderabad.

Some people are suggesting Testing and some are saying to go for Oracle, .NET , etc., training. Full confusion.

Please please help me with your suggestions.
