Telecommunications Industry - Sterling, VA Highlights: Work on a large, complex and challenging project w/ a very smart and talented team Contract length: 6 months+ (strong probability for extension) Key job responsibilities: • Design, develop, and document software with little supervision • Participate in design and code reviews • Interface as necessary with groups such as Product Management and Quality Assurance • Assist management with project scoping and scheduling. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related field • 5+ years of experience in full life cycle software development, including deployment • Experience with J2EE technologies & RDBMS, Design Patterns, Object-Oriented Development. • Hands-on experience with the following: Spring, JPA or Hibernate frameworks; XML programming (e.g. Xerces parser); SOAP Interface; and WebLogic • Relational database expertise using JDBC/SQL/Oracle • Candidate must be able to communicate clearly, especially in writing detailed design documents that can be understood and reviewed by peers • Strong troubleshooting skills and prior experience working in Unix/Linux environments NOTE: Prior expertise in the telecommunications industry is highly desirable. |
