Unortho, I reduced my time on the DB quite a bit- partly lost interest and partly conscious...Thought you did a pretty good job last year cutting down DB too The conscious part - switched back to reading books in the free time..planning to pick up painting again... still there is a problem...intiki vachchinaaka morning 2 hours, night 2 hours waste... The workaround I found is not opening DB at all...if you open it by any chance, you get sucked into it and the whole day is gone...if you persist next day...the whole week you spend on DB. JKM, Except reading news papers, watching TV(feel waste of time)-I have varied interests, including... watching films, reading screen plays, reading books, playing games on weekends, writing screenplays, film making related interests, listening to Classical music(Bach, Mozart) with a recent addition of Roulette research...Infact, I have very little time for DB, yet wasting time posting here... get a cube next to your manager/director like me. if you are a manager, none can help you but yourself. leave your big company(or govt) job and join a startup. j/k. not only weekdays, weekends are important. join gym. play tennis . do something else. I really don't know we make friends or enemies in DBs. does anyone care for what we say? we always argue to prove our point. 5 years in IdleBrain DB. when i look back, I feel i wasted my personal time. there were few posts i wrote in IBDB with various IDs. I am proud to say that I made some impact on india matters with my posts when I read news papers. need for semi conductor, health insurance(not in IBDB)industries. social issues, democracy in politics. telugu movie writers inspired by my posts. not just me. there were other DBers too. there are some websites, news comes from IBDB and now CCDB. they made millions with all gossips from DBs. finally what i realized is DBs are shy people's paradise. we are writers. some us come here to satisfy our hunger to say something. it doesn't matter YSR,CBN,Chiru or KCR become CM or PK,Mahesh,RT movie runs for 365 days or sachin tendulkar is called india's bradman or Hillary become next president. our lives will remain same unless we actively work for them. I don't know how many of us can stand infront of a crowd and give a speech. I read some posts in IBDB, then i thought man we have so much intelligence in AP, why i don't see in real life. we come from IITs, NITs and waste our time in DBs. anyway I failed to quit DB. all I can say, there is a better life outside DB. many old time DBers i know left IBDB. we can watch movies, read books, spend quality time with family. go for hiking, cycling or how about participating in next marathon or atleast half-marathon? chitkalu, gutkaalu cheppadaniki emundi. chala easy. | ||
