Cereals good or bad is relative to what you were eating before switching to cereals ..

If you were eating a high fat/sugar breakfast - cereals are a healthier option

But oatmeal is better than a sweetened cereal or rice crispies..

and 2% milk better than whole milk

KKD cheppina plan baagundi ...your meal plan has too much time between meals - this can cause cravings and overeating at mealtimes... between the meals snack on an apple or carrots-
both have soluble fibre that keep you feeling full and reduce cravings for sugar/junk and apple is a good substitute for coffee as a wake-me-up..


If you do not like cold salads - a good idea is to cook vegetables in very lil oil( mana talimpu kuralu type) and have mix that instead of rice with yogurt :-) desi salad :-)

Inkoka desi adaptation - cook oatmeal in water and have it with sambar/gravy curry or even yogurt - basically substitue oatmeal for rice...my mom used to do this with cracked wheat (dalia) when she had to cut out rice.

Health problems emi lekapote - ila dinner ki rendu biscuits tini padukunte - kottavi vastayi ...its important to eat a decent quantity of the right food ..else your digestive system goes for a toss...

Green tea is proven to increase metabolism - infact the extract is used in many weight loss pills - so if you are trying to gain weight go easy on the green tea...

From your details this is what i suggest..(i am not an expert though)

Break fast - Swith to Oatmeal and Go for 2% milk (not regular)

Lunch: Eat more Vegetables and less rice. Rice should be a side not main course.
Try Grilled vegetables and little side rice. or try Grilled vegetables Sandwich. (No cheese or easy on cheese)

Always important to spread your meal...eat little every 2-3 hours instead of one heavy meal. Between lunch and dinner try to eat Fruits/Carrots or Berries to beat hunger.

Dinner: Again cut down on Rice and try to eat more vegetables and less of Rice.

No sweets or junk food ..if you cant control then eat the junk stuff only once a week.

Most important workouts. You have to combine this diet with Workouts else the results will take very very long. If you get used to workouts you will love it.

start workouts atleast 4 days a week and then make it 5 days a week. If you are not able to make it during weekdays. 2 weekdays and 2 days in the weekend Should be good.

Na first target is shed some weight and be healthy and fit.

Current Diet plan:
Break Fast:Honey bunch cereals with Regular D Vitamin Milk

Lunch: White Rice+ any Indian curry( kani 1 month nunchi rice gradual ga thagginchanu...sometimes rice ki badulu ga only fruits or wheat upma or Chapathi thintunna)

Dinner: Dosa or 2 biscuits or rice or chapathi...

oka 1 month nunchi Food watch chesthunna and i lost 5 pounds also.

Inka workout ki vasthe not regular. Trainer daily oka 1300 calories theesukoni weekly 3or 4 days 20 mins cardio chesthe will reduce 2 pounds a week ani cheppindhi kani gym ki povali antene lazy ga vundi...

Naa colleague okathanu... Quakers Oat Meal dabba okati desk daggira pettukune vaadu... and lunch time lo hot water mix chesi thine vaadu.. papam sugar kooda esukune vaadu kaadhu. Asalu aa paakam lanti padhardham soothene... yaak.... kaani kattila control sesesindi kurrodini. Good for health too.

Nenu dressings gatra emi veyyanu... just romaine lettuce, 1 carrot and 1 tomato and pinch of salt. Mottam body control lo ke vacchesindi in 1-2 months time. Evening time (3-4 PM) ki baaga aakali vesedi... but controlled myself.

weight puton seyyatam pedda pani kaadu. ade nuvvu chusthunnav ante adi thappu.

and my answer to gain muscle is u have to eat meat,egg. milk avasaram ledu.

koncham sepu ayyaka disco chedham. vurgrnt pani lo unna.

and atlast slim gaa undtaniki aneka margalu. kanai muscular gaa undi slim gaa undataniki konne margalu. never skid breakfast.ur body will have maxxxxx potential to digest any thing in the morning as it is deprived of food for 8-10 hrs. so make the best use of timing.

Best option to cut down weight and which is also good for health... start taking salad (only) for lunch. Nenu week lo 3 days (M/W/F) just salad (for lunch) tho start chesa.... and it made lot of difference.

Nenu dressings gatra emi veyyanu... just romaine lettuce, 1 carrot and 1 tomato and pinch of salt. Mottam body control lo ke vacchesindi in 1-2 months time. Evening time (3-4 PM) ki baaga aakali vesedi... but controlled myself.

And juice does not have the fibre of whole fruit ...so if you have a choice better to go for whole fruit or if you prefer in drink form- fruit smoothies are a great option - cos they are not filtered to remove the pulp/fibre.

Not sure if your question is serious or tongue-in-cheek but whole grain and wheat bread diff is in the fibre content.

Same with any other whole grain Vs refined product... High fibre foods fill you up and reduce cravings to eat , slows the release of carb sugars into the blood stream and cleans the digestive tract and cholesterol ...All great advantages if you are trying to reduce triglycerides, cholesterol or fat :-)

Anduke whole wheat chapati rice kanna heavy ga anipistundi though it has less calories :-)
