my post was in response to harry's view of people who leave school or resposnibilities to pursue thier passion as escapists.. For someone to be not happy with their situation, I think it has to be multiple things going wrong in life at the given time. no regrets. I am happy with my career path that my parents have choosen for me. I dont feel ashamed of doing it. Now coming to the NRI groom, alas, its not his personal choice. Its the system in India that should be blamed upon. Any MNC short lists engineers as better cream for any job and if thats the why would he be doing only some arts degree for his education, although his career choice could be financial services. Its about better adaptability here. If the MNCs feel engineers are better adaptable and take them for any domain in IT sector, they need not be blamed as well. If our arts and science colleges were at par standard as our engineering colleges, this sort of errors would have been avoided. Give you an example here. Its about the author of the movie (in fact novel on which the movie is based upon), he is an engineer from IIT and MBA from IIM and then worked as banker. but his passion was always writing. He dint leave his education mid-way like escapist "Farhan" did in 3 idiots. In fact he earned his social and financial status, before he take up his passion as full time activity If you dream of being a director after watching Shiva and getting inpired of RGV abilities, and drop off from school, you are an escapist. Alas there can be only one sachin tendulkar among 1 billion and only one RGV amoung 10 millions. rest other aspiring Tendulkars and RGV are either escapists or day-dreamers.
