both are one and the same.....u might be caught up in the quagmire of notation. Anything that is borne of an experience and quantizing the relationship of an experience so as to fit to the existential truth is an inductive way of thinking.

Ex: Touching a hot body and theorizing that it is harmful for a human to touch any thing hotter than its skin's bearing therma threshold...

Now pit it against, a deductive schema as follows:

a.) The radiative power of a body is always < the conductive dissipation of medium as long as the temperature is well beyond some jean limit.
b.) Wood has a conductive and dissipative co-efficient of say 2.3 and 0.1 and its therma run down happens at 195 C
c.) Human skin has higher conductive capacity than wood...and lesser radidative and dissipative capacity than wood

Using this information a,b and C One can DEDUCE that it is dangerous to touch anything around 150C...
