similarly there are 100's of linux distros which provide Live versions, some can be as small as 100MB which you can boot from flash drive....and try to recover data. ex: dsl, flashlinux, pendrivelinux..etc nannu irikinchakandi sir |

Kings:I can switch on the laptop...but then it is giving booting error and I can't proceed.....called the Dell customer service, they asked me to followo some spets..then they said....Harddisk is gone....laptop is not recognizing harddisk....
hmmm...if you were able to go to bios i would have helped you. I have a software which detects bad sectors or corrupted ones in hard drive and fixes it. |

Catalyst mama //u did not mentioned whether you are able to go bios or switch on laptop// I can switch on the laptop...but then it is giving booting error and I can't proceed.....called the Dell customer service, they asked me to followo some spets..then they said....Harddisk is gone....laptop is not recognizing harddisk.... |

Catalyst:Here is my suggestion.... install another operating system on it and recover the data or if u have linux/ ubuntu os it should work
hardware issue not OS issue I believe.. |

Mamalu My DELL laptop harddisk is gone. When I called the DELL they mentioned, I need to get the new harddisk. If I want to recover the stuff from the currupted harddisk..is there any way...please suggest....I have a very important stuff in that harddisk... |
