There is another scene where guy ritchie is sitting in a bar...the bar tender serves him the drink...he takes a sip and the guy sittin next to him bursts into laugher....we have no clue wats happening... And in the next scene we see him entering the bar and explaining the bar tender about his condition...To test the truth in his statement she makes a drink and walks around the bar asking everyone to spit into it before guy ritchie...she asks him too to spit in it and finally she does it too...and after a while she coolly serves the same drink to him and he drinks it without doubts.... kekaaaa The concept of memory loss is abused a lott in hollywood.... The only two movies that address this issue efficiently are Memento and The etrnal sunshine of spotless mind.... | ||

haha.....naaku ilantivi chala jarigai.... last year summer or fall lo same CCDB lo we were discussing movie plots....I mentioned a screen play in which the movie starts with our hero jumpin from a huge skyscraper seemingly towards his death....I was talkin about the drama n the impact such a beginning would bring to a movie.... cut chesthey magadheera....u observe everyones talkin about opening shot...i guess everyone can think...only few people have the zeal to implement  but ok...our day will come | ||

In memento....there is one scene....the scene comes from no where and we see our hero running.....and the voiceover goes like this..."what am i doing??? I am running...I think iam chasing someone.....(suddenly we hear shots fired towards him)...wait...I think iam being chased(and he changes the direction of his run)..." haha...This guy actually is being chased...while trying to escape he forgets wat he is doing...and after a while he starts running towards the same guy trying to kill him...nolans god of modern cinema | ||

Mario thammudu...following bits n pieces chusa but never watched completely....as when i had access to that movie even before i have seen it me n my fren were bored with our lives n one day we were sitting in a starbucks bored n were just jokin around like why cant we just come here everyday n pick a patron every day n just follow them... then cut chesthey same concept meedha oka movie dat too by nolan ani thelsi naaku jhalak thagilindhi....so too identifiable ani soodaledhu...but now i can watch.. | ||

what i love in nolan especially in this movie is......memory loss patient ni chupistadu, aa feel manaki ravali ani non linear front-back and back-front chuistadu.....adi enta kastamo manaki artham kavataniki screenplay ala rasadu..... same with the prestige....movie is about magic.....screenplay lo oka magic chestadu.....we will feel audience watching a magic show at the end of movie..... memento is too good a movie....i consider prestige as nolan's best work till today though..... elacamino, following bomma susava?? kevvv bomma | ||

the movie is very simple....The narration starts from the end of the story and scene by scene it reaches the begining in a reverse linear fashion (its like movie ni reverse lo choosinattu...) to give the audience a proper grip on the happenings we r introduced to the begininng of each previous shot in each shot... for example in one scene Secene 5) the shot begins with the lead character sitting in someones restroom with a whisky bottle in his hand....and the dialogues go like "i have a bottle in my hand(then he smells his breath).....and iam not drunk...." like he doesnt know how he end up in someones restroom with a bottle in his hand...and forgetting where he is he simply slips into the shower and starts takin a shower as if its his own room...and suddenly someone else enters into the restroom...and a fight ensues...and the hero over powers that guy...and we dont know wat the hell is happening... and when we r introduced to the next shot Scene 6 ) Next shot we r shown the hero gets chased by a guy tryin to kill him .....the hero escapes...gets the guys motel number...he plans to go there n hide n attack him once he comes into the motel room...so he goes to the motel...somehow manages to sneak into the guys room...picks up that whisky bottle to use as weapon....and hides in the rest room....and after a while he forgets why he is there and why he is holding a whisky bottle in his hand... so scene 6 completes scene 5...not like in a straight narration where scene 5 like scene 6.... he is actually showing the movie from the heros pov...he forgets something n the previous incidents stored in the form of pictures n notes makes him remember the current events...u actually get into the heros psyche so much that at the end of the narration the director n writer mr nolan voluntarily confuses the audience n leaves lot of things undefined to figure out urself...leaving a scope for discussion...thats wat great directors do.... its a kick to watch this movie....i guess they released a linear version of it to help in teachin the importance of screen writing for film students...then finally they encorporated the same verision in regular dvds for normal audiences too...its less confusing but the journey aint the same as with the original one... | ||

The way the movie starts itself is so poetic.... The movie starts with a guy holding a puto from a polaroid camera...only the guys hand and the photo is shown in the frame... (if u know about a polaroid camera...u get the puto instantly but it takes few seconds for the image to develope perfectly on the photo....) and we are shown the image on the photo slowly disappearing as the titles toll... and at the end it completely vanishes(actually we are seeing the scene in a backward motion)..just like the memory of the lead character..its like a perfect metaphor through which the director intoduces the audience to the plot....anukuntunna.... | ||

dheenni aa murugadoss gadu masala esi....khooni chesi pettadu.... if u see memento we r told that people suffering from short term memory loss indeed go through hell n become almost like vegetables;.... so they focus on the character explaining us how disciplined n well organized he is to deal with his problem..thats y in the narration the role of sammy jenkins is introduced...we r told he suffers from the same condition...but the contrast in approach of how our hero n the character of sammy jenkins approach the conditions gives us a notion of hoe dangerous this condition is about....also the shock he goes through everyday realising the tragedy again n again is more subtle n intense... mana ghajini cinemallo rojuu mirror mundhariki elli kewwwww ani arupu arisi they just glorified the condition.... | ||

lead character goes through a trauma(his wifes death) n starts suffering from short term memory loss...point endhi antey he remembers everything that happened in his life till that event...But after that his memory fades away for every few minutes... so his character goes to sleep every day that his wife is dead but wakes up every morning thinkin she is still alive....he forget everything except her death....so he has to live that shock of losing his wife every day so he has to mourn her loss everyday.....so his life is hell... so he figures various ways to forget her....he tries to burn all her stuff...memories or watever....appudu osthadhi ee dialogue "Probably tried this before...probably burned truck load of stuff....but still cant remember to forget you" Nolan gaa....emanna cinema theesinaava...  |
