Chief Minister K Rosaiah today assured to provide protection to the industry and other commercial establishments to run their business in the State without any obstacles. Stating that there is absolute peace prevailing in the State, he said the State Gover nment i s determined to put down vandalism and help the industrialists. Speaking to the 36 Indian Foreign Service officers of 1981 and 1982 batch here last night, Rosaiah called upon the IFS officers, who were on an inservice training at Indian School of Business in the city, to give wide-exposure to Andhra Pradesh in the countries where they are working. The Chief Minister urged the IFS officers to clear certain misapprehensions about the State in view of the recent agitations and explain about the opportunities for investors. He also assured to provide all assistance and incentives to industrialists to establish their companies in the State. He said that there was a balanced development in both agriculture and industrial sectors in the past five years. He also voiced other priorities of the State Government including rural development and poverty alleviation. Gautam Mukhopadhyana, senior IFS officer representing the team, said Andhra Pradesh is a fast developing State not only in agriculture production but also in rural development and poverty alleviation. He said that the State especially Hyderabad continues to be the investors destination and they are convinced of business and investment opportunities here. Major Industries Minister K Laxminarayana, Tourism Minister J Geeta Reddy, the State Government Adviser for Industries Peter Hassan, Principal Secretary for Industries Sam Babu and other officials were present.
