Sources said the document would also focus on the creation of infrastructure in the Coastal and Rayalaseema regions. These leaders are planning to popularise this perspective once the emotions die down. âThe basic idea is to stand prepared and build up social and civil infrastructure in the non-Telangana regions rather than harp on an integrated state,â said a senior minister. The document will highlight the entrepreneurial qualities of the people of Godavari districts, Krishna, Guntur and Nellore who have already made a mark in the national industrial and infrastructure scenario, on the lines of Gujaratis and Marwaris. The Krishna-Godavari basin gas reserves are expected to turn out to be one of biggest oil fields in world and the document will suggest a precondition that industries in the region should be guaranteed gas. Andhra has a long coast line of 950 km and development will be high even if half of the potential of four proposed projects of Petrochemical zone, Kakinada SEZ, Vadarevu-Nizampatnam port industrial corridor and mega power projects near Nellore and Srikakulam is realised. The document will seek immediate funding for the proposed eight- lane road along the coast, completion of Polavaram project, launching of BHEL-NTPC project. |
