Ok now since I started cookin at home Im pretty xited. Got some toor dal and tried to make sambar. Since I do not have a pressure cooker it took me like 2 hrs to make it edible. I don't want to buy a pressure cooker as I'm pretty scared of them donno why ... there should be a term coined for "fear of pressure cookers" ... silly phobia lol! Q1. Can I cook the dal (2:1 ratio with water) in a rice cooker? Q2. Can I microwave it ... if so for how long (same 2:1 ratio)? Q3. How long do I have to soak the dal before I microwave it? |
