can you name the movies you have mentioned please. it is not a good thing to shrug of the efforts of some great directors. lets take mother india, a critically acclaimed indian movie. I dare say, even to this day, very few directors have achieved the simple, but effective narration of love. a love between mother and son, but the duty of person in a society. it is interesting that you mention Ray, how about shathranj ke khiladi. a docile but critically acclaimed movie which only includes the richest of the 1800 indian elite families. the movie is in its own class, be it the script or the characterizations. i agree that some directors do resort to show only the negatives in the society to get a critical name, as they would have both admirers and detractors for such work, but blaming the critics, and also some great directors, all together is not correct. the world of appearances may or may not be real, or both may and may not be real - or may be indescribable; or may be real and indescribable, or unreal and indescribable; or in the end may be read and unreal and indescribable - its all Syadvada | ||

hmmm i wont say entirely unnecessary, but yeah the director could have used a different shot to establish the character. In my view, the director was establishing the characters, and the initial scenes potray the characters, and their behavior. that scene was used to establish the basic character of jamal, that he would go through anything (even the most nastiest thing) to reach what his heart wants. the kid did not mind jumping into a pile of shit, to see his hero. but then again, it is not that the only possible way to establish that character. the world of appearances may or may not be real, or both may and may not be real - or may be indescribable; or may be real and indescribable, or unreal and indescribable; or in the end may be read and unreal and indescribable - its all Syadvada | ||

It might appear the way you saying but koddigaa lothu ki velli chooste.. Slumdog movie lo antha poor hero vaadu last ki gelsadam jenaalaki oka teliyani aanandam ichhindi.. You take any international film, deep gaa untai.. manasuni kadilinchestai.. People dont clap on the misery state or culture but they do however, give standing ovation, when the protagonist overcomes all the hurdles and stands out as a winner.. last sunday Tv lo channels flip chestunte Link Tv lo ee movie vastundi..entra US channel lo telugu movie ani 2 mins choosa..edo art film laga anipinchindi...sare elagu pani pata emi ledu ani ala choostu undipoya..What an amazing movie..movie ayipoyaka kooda aa vanaja character gurinchi aalochistu undipoya...story telling was awesome..konni logicless scnes unnayi like Telangana lo Sea choopichatam...inko scene lo kobbarichetlu chuttupakkala full water like in kosta choopichadu diro..male nudity could be avoided..other than that movie was brilliant..recommended for all art/good movie lovers .. Ika main character ki vaste Mamatha ane kid ..terrific performance...dance kooda baga chesindi...anni characters chala natural ga unnayi..Telengana accent vintunte chevulaki impuga anipinchindi.. after movie dir interview vachindi...it seems he couldn't get a single theatre to screen this movie in India...But won lot of awards in internation film festivals...around 140 film festivals lo screen chesarata so far...Berlin lo standing ovation icharu ani cheppadu...manollu eppudu ittanti diro's ni encourage chestaro... |
