KCR Effect: 'Team India' Laughing At Telugus Well, if you are wondering what âTeam Indiaâ has to do with us then here is the story. India is a country that has people from different cultures and regions quite like our cricket team and they have been bonded together with one strong platform- language. But today, the sad scene for Andhra Pradesh is that Telugus are fighting against Telugus, hatred is brewing between each other. The reason for that is the move from crooked politicians and their political greed. The Telangana issue has brought some major cracks and with the leaders planning their own strategies for gaining attention and making a mark in history, the actual essence of Telugus is going to the dogs. Now, many non-Telugus such as Marathis, Punjabis, Gujarathis who are living in Hyderabad and other parts of India are having hearty laugh over the crisis. They are saying that usually Telugus keep fighting for their identity since they are addressed as âMadrasisâ but now what happened to their pride? They asked. This sort of environment is being seen in many IT companies with many of them treating Telugus as laughing stock. The natural reaction for anyone is to get offended but then, is anything wrong in what they are saying? Is it making any sense in creating disparity on the basis of region and not hesitating to take any extremist measure in the name of sentiment? Many of the non-Telugus say that they clearly understand KCR is the man spreading this evil and poison and can see it but sadly, our own people are unable to see that. Says Vikrant âmy friend called me from Mumbai and was laughing uncontrollably, he said they have never seen such idiots like us who are simply shaking heads for whatever that B****** KCR is doing. My friend said that at this rate, AP or should he say Telangana- Andhra will become worse than Biharâ. Another girl Sandhya revealed â I have many friends in Delhi and often got into debates with them when they called me âidli sambarâ, I used to be proud that I was fighting for my Telugu identity and culture but today I have no words for what KCR and his party is doing.â A more aggressive Rahul Reddy who is a proper Telangana guy said âthis F***** KCR has created a major mess. Today, I am not able to look into the eye of my friends in Vijayawada and Kadapa. Everything was so nice when we used to meet but now we know that this issue is creating sensitive feelings. But damn this KCR, we will remain as one and save our Telugu naadu. If god is there, I pray that all those who are creating this ruckus must pay for it and the heartburn they have created; they will die a dogâs deathâ. While states like Tamilnadu, Karnataka are having a feast with development and progress, it is really depressing to see that our Telugu land is getting torn into pieces due to a rogue fanatic and these are the times when one must reflect not as an individual but someone who is part of this Telugu history. -Avinash (avinash369@gmail.com) |
