As an army chief .. he is saying that the military is ready to fight two wars at the same time .. we have that capacity and we are trying to strategize for the same ani .. now the next would be the call of the politicians handling them .. if say a MMS or NaMo (Narendra Modi) or RaGa decide .. no we will not fight hard .. we just need a small military operation which brings our land back .. because if we go to a big war .. we will have to deal with financial and diplomatic sanctions .. which we will not be able to deal ani annaru anukondi .. military will use its plan-B .. but all he is saying is .. govt need not be worried about military .. military side ni ready antunnadu .. inthenduku .. 1962 war lo manaki enduku defeat vachindo telusu meeku evarikanna? 1962 war lo .. defense minister krishna menon asked Nehru, the PM .. to use air force .. where India had like a hugeeee advantage .. nehru said ... no .. let us only defend and not attack as the war will be escalated .. but Indian ground forces were not ready on the eastern front .. they were placed on the western front as our army was told to be deployed on Pak border as they are our enemies and the eastern front had the least of deployments .. So when the army had to be re-deployed .. it took 7 days to even reach the bases of the lower himalayan peaks .. if your army is behind by 7 days .. you certainly lose a war .. the chinese army almost stretched until siliguri in assam .. the Indian army once it entered, deployed the naga regiment and made huge advances in capturing lost land .. but once we entered arunachal pradesh .. the battle turned advantageous to china as they were sitting comfortably on peaks .. had we used airforce in 1962 .. the war would have been even and army would have bought time to counter chinese .. after the war .. opposition openly criticized nehru and his inefficient policies for losing the advantage of the airforce .. all the military studies literally crucified nehru .. some people even say that this shame itself consumed nehru .. who till 1961 was hale and healthy .. he could not tolerate such a shame and eventually gave up in 1964 ! PS - I did not make up anything in this post .. you can always verify and come back ! people in military always read history well .. because it is the only thing that can be concrete and it is what makes them strategize for the future !
