pakka DB lo oka member suggest chesaru to run the following command C:\> sfc /scannow [with OS CD in it] . Whn tried it has returned that "Win Resources Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them" This could be found in C;\Windows\Logs\CBS>cbs.log While opening this file am getting "Access is denied" i will be trying the other methods you mentioned |

Septictank: we too r not clear on problem, we could only access the system thru Safe Mode
That means one of the driver that is being loaded by the OS in normal mode is corrupted. When you boot in safe mode very few drivers are loaded. Do you get any errors in safe mode? Try scanning the system for viruses (in safe mode) Check the event viewer to see if there is any thing fishy. Try to recall any new softwares/drivers that you might have added recently (before problem started). And try un-installing them... Also recall if the windows has downloaded and updated any system files recently. As a last step, Try to restore the system to a older date. YOU WILL NOT LOSE ANY DATA. (Let me know if you don't know how to do this) If god doesn't like the way I live, let him tell me, not you |
