Guttonkay I grew up on art cinema so taste konchem different. The dialogs were excellent and the concept of bogeyman inside and outside was very well portrayed. yes, I know about the kala bandhar incident. Overall the concept of the movie delhi 6 was ok, but the execution was a effing bad I thought. Ramleela episodes were fun but before and after are all bad. It's like watching one of M.F.Hussain's movies rather than a Rakesh Mehra's film. | ||

I liked 3 idiots. The risk with these kind of movies is that if you are too hung up on the concept then the movie wil get preachy and loaded to normal audience.. rajkumar hirani once again masterfully crafted message with loads of humour and gave the movie a universal appeal ala munnbhai. Personally to me the last 30 mins of the movie was boring and toned down it's nextdoor guys story appeal. As for acting Boman rocked as usual.. Amir was vintage, madhava and Sharman joshi did more than good to thier roles. Some of the jokes were hillarious esp - lecturer zipping and unzipping in the class , joke on Sharman's mother rotis and sister. Music was a distraction in the movie and Kareena as always rocked my boat. | ||

Delhi 6 storywise is beaten down concept.. NRI comes ot india and falls in love with india and people.. etc etc..Kakapothe if you lived delhi or visited delhi during dussera season you will enjoy the movie atleast for the first half. Inkoti Kala Bandar episode actually jarigindhi Delhi area lo , back in early 90s.. so you kinda associate yourself with the movie if you are around delhi then. | ||

Delhi 6 : 4.5/5 ------------------------------------ I hated this movie. It was so abstract and I guess I wasn't in the right mood. I turned off when they started showing rickshaws on NY streets, singing and dancing on NY streets. I loved delhi 6 songs soo soo much. The movie was bad IMHO I couldn't listen to the songs for a good month after that bad hangover. ento matladtaru, intalo paata vastundi out of the blue and then two dialogues and then another song. Sonam Kapoor's dances were atrocious. I thought the picturization of "Genda phool" song was awful. Everything was dreamy/hazy rather than realistic. Like they were all high on something. Hopefully some day in the future I can watch this movie and actually appreciate it. | ||

I did not understand why/how Susan Sarandon was allowed into the tribe but not our hero. Why the tribe tried to kill the hero first time they saw him? Rating: 3.5 3 Idiots: If you love melodrama, melodrama and melodrama, then this is your movie. There are some nice comedy bits here and there. Concept was brilliant but had the director not added desi senti, this movie would had been a great movie. Aamir tried to be goto guy for every character. This is the first movie where I felt aamir's acting was average. Not sure whats the director intent in naming a students lastname 'Ramalingam', a character who everyone hates and most of the times disgusting. Why a students commits suicide when principal denies project extention? Asalu fuse out ayyindi naaku.. Engineering/Science: By getting into these fields, donot guarantee an affluent life style. I think aamir points out that a guy chooses engineering in undergrad, then does MBA and then work for a bank. Why he had to do engineering when he wants to for a bank? Because, an engineer can do any job. Thats why people opt for engineering. You become adept and also adaptable. To do an MBA, you dont have to follow the business course all along from 10+2.
