May be am an odd guy.. to me no game is menaingless and not every game is about championship and winning.. I love my team even if they lose as long as they put up a good game and fight hard down to last min. I rate Tenesse Titans are better team than Colts this season because they ddnot played for championship they played for thier fans mama.. and for its fans it doesnt matter if they are in playoffs or not.. all it matters is that they gave up their loser attitude and started fighting in each drive. Thats the same reaosn I admire Brett Favre.. His love towards the game is so huge that he never allows anyone to bench him.. He is man enough to play every game and every snap. Resting the starters gave colts coaching staff an oppurtunity to evaluate the back up offensive line. Back QB painter was terrible. Yesterday game and next week's game will him some real practice. Imagine if he had to step in for manning in a post season game with out this kind of practice.... | ||

So many fans are disappointed babai, but it was expected to pull of the starters later in the game. Only reason to let them play in first half is to get Manning 50000 mile stone and keep the enough momentum going on. It is more kind of organizational philosophy. Bill polian, who was then President of 90's Buffalo bills, had an experience where couple of key players were injured during one of those meaningless games. He does not want to repeat the same mistake, that is one of the reason colts always rest the starters when they have the victory locked even during Oct/Nov month games.
