His stand is clear. He said nothing wrong in carving out a new state if it makes ppl's lives better. Dividing the state is not the end of the world. At the same time he said that we cannot expect things to be drastically different in the new state. His point is that there has not been any discussion so far, on the merits, and demerits of forming a new state. He did raise questions on the disadvantages the T state might have upon separation. JP's personal opinion may be for, or against the separation. As a leader should he force his opinions on ppl? My answer is clear....I expect more than the normal politician out of JP...I adored him....till 7 days back...now not anymore....he lacks intellectual honesty...still miles ahead of people like YSR and CBN...but not even close to ranks of people like Vallabhai patel, Rajaji and others..... He needs limelight and covets it like crazy. A true intellectual functions independent of recognition...... standwise.....one can take his own time....and he had all the time before the previous election...he could have studied it at depth if need be.....he can't cite lack of time....at this juncture when people are close to a civil war....
