As late as last week also you have seen the GO released by Rosi's govt where 9Cr was allocated to Telangana where are a big pot was allotted to A&S. Everywhere there are imbalances but such willful neglect is what has caused the heartburn. On top of it though industries have been setup on the lands in and around hyderabad how many of the locals have benefitted is a question. People who talk about Andhra businessmen setting up industries be it Pharma or any other themselves know there has been a mass import of workforce from Coastal areas to build their empires. So land etc comes from Telangana at throw away prices and labor comes from 'you know where'. Seema leaders have put their core skills to good used and specialized in 'KABZAS' and forcible buying of lands at gunpoint or threat of kabzas which has happened indiscriminately over the last 10-12 years. Simple projects which already had funding and approvals from central never took off for decades - Bhima projects, Sriram sagar second phase are some examples. This would have brought some areas in telangana under cultivation and created additional opportunities for local people. On the contrary what has happened? the likes of babu, jagan enroached on 1000's of acres of land which were selling for peanuts because of lack of water / grabbed by force turning farmers in to day to day labour/coolies. Telangana is what it is today of willful neglect of successive governments and leaders who head the governments. | ||
