when i discussed with my friend who had DSLR and who got some exposure. nenu kudaa kondaamanukoni athani tho discuss chesaanu. Athani views- RAW: Always best for Out door Pictures(and if you do n't want to manipulate any thing) Indoors and some out door functions etc: JPEG. You can do any thing on those pictures by using various software like Photo shop, Photo impact etc.. Most of the pictures(90%)..he took on JPEG | ||

I use RAW mode all the time with my Canon 40D. I have taken the same situations in JPEG and RAW modes and I have compared them. RAW mode gives you much more details to work with than JPEG. | ||

Satti bhai, To view Raw image files, you need the software. Most of the professional Photographers take pictures in Raw and then in photoshop the convert it to Jpeg. RAW format if good for blowup's. last important thing is you need a huge memory to start shooting in RAW when you go on trips. Widge angle lens good for taking panaromic pictures. Other than its good for nothing. I wouldnt suggest changing lenses frequently on you camera as it leads to static/dust collection on your camera sensor, and its quite expensive to clean up the sensor. | ||

RAW format lo vacche data antha read only format... you anyway need a post processing software to edit/manipulate it. Same thing you can do with JPEG also. In simple words, RAW format is always better for the only reason that it captures every bit from your DSLR sensor 'AS IS'. No conversions, No compressions, No Noise etc etc. One of my colleague is a Professional Photographer. Athani tho appudappudu discuss chesina dhaanilo naaku telisinadi cheppa. He never recommends RAW for day to day pictures. Even for some of the professional pictures he says there are lot of capabilities in Photoshop or other comparable s/w with which you can manipulate the JPEG to your requirements. But painful part is when you want to print them or view them, another drawback with this format is file size, if you have 10 MP DSLR then your RAW file size is also 10 MB.... so on and so forth. If you still need more info on RAW let me know... 2 yrs back my colleagure took Taj Mahal pictures in India... avi anni JPEG lo ne theesaadu.... he used Photoshop to blow it up to a poster size.... he captured every carving detail in Taj Mahal. Too good picture.. office lo kurrollu evaru adigithe aallaki aa copy icchaadu. Nuvvu ye brand DSLR konnavo maaku etta telustaadi Satti?
