he Telangana Rashtra Samiti president, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, on Sunday urged the Telugu Desam chief, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, to announce his stand on Telangana immediately. He strongly objected to Andhra leaders criticising the announcement on Telangana at midnight by the Union government. âIndia got freedom at midnight. What is wrong in making an announcement on Telangana at midnight? Mr Chandrababu Naidu should make his stand clear on Telangana instead of maintaining silence on the issue,â he said. âI have no doubt about the formation of Telangana since the Union government had already given its assurance and it will not go back on its word,â he added. Please read the last line... The TRS politburo which met here decided to organise a victory rally and public meeting in Warangal on December 24 instead of a bus yatra by Mr Chandrasekhar Rao. Many of the politburo members expressed concern over the party chiefâs health and said it was not advisable since he was yet to recover completely. Many leaders also felt that a public meeting would attract leaders of other parties like the TD and Praja Rajyam.
