No, he made all the money because he is a gifted athlete. Society created the image of him being clean. He himself never said that he is clean. Endorsements are business deals. A company is not going to hire you and me to sell stuff though we are squeaky clean, because they know we cannot sell a thing. If they think Tiger cannot sell stuff for them, they will dump him like a dirt bag. Let's face it, Kobe still has endorsement deals without his clean image. That guy is bigger than golf. He comes across as a level headed, disciplined guy and people like him are a big deal in african-american society where there is more povery, more crime and all that jazz. In this country sports is a big deal. Sports makes u more focussed, disciplined and a team player. Heck they even talk about cheerleading as one that teaches u about how to be a team player and how to be focussed and so on. Kids look up to winners of any kind and if that person has a squeaky clean image they look up to him more. You think anyone would give a sh-t about Tiger or Michael Phelps if they weren't winning all those medals and trophies? If they are role models only for their respective sport, why are we seeing them on all kids cereal boxes, athletic shoes and lord knows what else? If people don't look up to a winner with a clean image who do they look u to? Mayavati or Venkaih Naidu or KCR? | ||

This guy was way too control freak. He did not want anything in the media about him. He fired his caddy for talking to the media once. Now, media is milking every bit of the juicy details.
